Support Us

The Annual Fund provides critical financial support for every aspect of Mercy Center's programs. Every donation helps sustain our free Adult Education/Workforce Development Programs, Family and Youth Programs, Social Services, and Immigration Services.

The support which you offer through your annual gift makes it possible for us to bridge the gap between the revenues received from government grants, foundation and corporate support, and the actual cost of providing quality services for each family. We greatly appreciate the commitment you make to our participants.

In the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Center helps women and their families in the South Bronx recognize the power they have to liberate themselves from economic poverty. We promote their right to an improved quality of life by addressing the needs of the whole person, development skills for healthy family living and economic advancement, and building a community of respect, hospitality, and non-violence.

We hope that you continue to believe in our work by supporting the Annual Fund.

Thank you!

Ways to Contribute

ANNUAL FUND

Mercy Center's fiscal year is from June 30 - July 31. All donations in response to our Fall/Winter and Spring appeals directly support our Annual Fund.

RECURRING DONATIONS

Donations that are automatically deducted on a monthly schedule directly support our Annual Fund.

MEMORIAL FUNDS

Donations can be made in the name of or in memory of someone you wish to honor. All names are listed in our Book of Life.

TRANSFER OF SECURITIES

Mercy Center has an investment firm that deals with all gifts of securities and annuities. Please contact Archie Crawford in our Development Office to arrange for a transfer of securities.

ADD US TO YOUR WILL

Living trusts and beneficiary designations on IRAs, 401(k)s, and other financial and investment instruments or land. The donor can put restrictions on what Mercy Center can do with the gift.

It's even simpler for a donor to name Mercy Center as the beneficiary of property such as a bank account, life insurance policy, or retirement plan. The bank or other company usually provides a form for the donor to use.

GIFTS IN-KIND

Items and professional services can also be donated to Mercy Center as needed. Please contact the Development Office for arrangements of in-kind donations.

VOLUNTEER

One of Mercy Center's greatest assets is its source of volunteers. We are often seeking professionals to assist with many aspects of Mercy Center, from teaching to serving on a committee. Please visit our Volunteer Opportunities page for more information.
