Participants in our Family Development Program spent one of three spring weekends at Highbridge Empowerment Center in Goshen, New York.  Led by Alba Torres, Maria Mercado and other staff members, the adults participated in discussion groups and engaged in wellness and stress reduction exercises.  Under the guidance of several volunteers, children participated in their own discussion groups and enjoyed an outdoors that aroused wonderful curiosity and much fun.  And of course there was ample opportunity for great times together as families too, including meals, prayer services, and an evening campfire.  Gratitude and exhaustion described everyone's feelings as they boarded the bus home on Sunday.
