20th Anniversary International Festival |

| On
Saturday, May 15, we continued our year-long celebration of Mercy
Center's 20 years of service to the community with an International
Festival. The afternoon event was attended by friends, volunteers, local
community members, Board members and staff, both past and present. While
the children were engaged in fun activities at Mercy Center, 200 women
and men of Mercy Center gathered to make a joyful noise at the festival,
held in the building where Mercy Center was housed for its first 13
years. An hors d'oeuvre hour, during which dishes from many Latin
American countries were served, was followed by cultural presentations -
the big "show" - and spirited dancing. After the full meal that was
enjoyed by all, the festivities concluded with words of deep gratitude
and hope for the future. Please visit
