5th Annual Cocktail
Gala and Auction |
Over 350 people gathered on April 22nd at
Tavern On The Green for a
spectacular evening. Mercy Center honored
Karla G. Sanchez,
trial attorney and first and sole
Hispanic partner at
Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP.
We also presented the Circle of Mercy
Award to
The Volunteer ESL Teachers,
who make that program possible. Amid
some concerns prior to the event because of our economic
times, people pulled together with a level of generosity
we could only vaguely hope for. Over $150,000 was
raised, thanks to everyone who donated prizes, bought
tickets, purchased journal ads, donated funds, and gave
of their time and expertise for free. Special
thanks go to our Board of Advisors, who work tirelessly
for months every year to plan this event.
If you were unable to
attend, here's a quick look at the evening. We
hope to see you next year!
