Mercy Center's 3rd Annual
Cocktail and Auction Celebration

Mercy Center's celebration was held April 17th at Tavern on the Green in Manhattan. Almost 400 people (about 100 more than last year!) enjoyed a spectacular evening, with long-time and new friends gathering to celebrate the spirit of Mercy Center and support the women and families we serve.

This year's event was our most successful yet, raising over $135,000 for Mercy Center's programs.  This was possible thanks to the support we received from so many friends - by attending the event, by donating prizes, by taking ads in our journal, by securing or committing corporate sponsorships, and by making donations in honor of the event.  We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our Auction Committee and its Chair, Diane Vezza.

Stephen L. Kass and Gerald W. Griffin accepted an award on behalf of our honoree, Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP.  The firm represented Mercy Center pro bono in a dispute over an environmental assessment on the property on which Mercy Center now stands.  They were tireless in helping us find solutions so that we could conclude the construction of our building and meet the ever growing needs of the women and families we serve.
